About me

I was born and raised in Edinburgh – a proud Scot. Since then I have lived and worked in the USA, Switzerland, France and now that I have retired, have settled with my long-term partner – and much better half – in rural Cheshire, England.

In my career I have climbed telegraph poles, pulled in underground cables, worked behind a bar, managed to attain a degree in electronic engineering before going on to become a design engineer, production manager, strategic technology planning manager, and European business manager.

More recently I spent twenty years as a psychotherapist helping people overcome a wide variety of mental health concerns as well as complex life issues which many of us have to deal with from time to time.

Now, when my long-term partner and I are not busy with our ten grand-children, I write, play the guitar badly, golf randomly (whoever said the more you play, the better you become!), and enjoy tennis and bridge.
